The concept of Europe is ever evolving, especially with with the political landscape being harder and harder to predict, with a succession of recent shocks from the French and German general elections and the unrest in Catalonia, not to mention Brexit. The move to build closer economic ties with China aim to have a positive knock on effect across a number of sectors, the threat of Russian military activity in Ukraine and terrorism in Turkey lead to additional uncertainty. The conversations being had about Europe are very different today than they were two years ago, and the future is less certain than ever before.
