Dr Naresh Trehan is arguably the top cardiovascular surgeon in India and the Founder Chairman of Medanta Hospital, one of the largest multi-speciality hospitals in India. He has been the president of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.
After graduating from King George Medical College, Lucknow, Dr Trehan went on to practice at New York University Medical Centre from 1971-88. Following a successful career in the US, Dr Trehan returned to India and started Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in 1988.
